Martin Luther once said, “Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone but in every leaf in springtime."
Most of the world recognizes the fact
that Good Friday is a religious holiday observed by Christians around the world
in memory of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. They also recognize that Good
Friday and the following Saturday are days of mourning which call for the reflection
of sins. John 3:16-17 states, "For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal
life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in
order that the world might be saved through him." During this period of
time, Christians focus on the fact that life is a precious gift and most will
use this period of time to reflect upon God’s forgiveness of man’s sins.
